Direct Effect Innovation Challenge

The first-ever Direct Effect Innovation Challenge took place on April 6th from 10:00 – 4:00 PM at Wilkes-Barre’s THINK Center. We’ve partnered with The Institute for Public Policy & Economic Development, Maga Design, Inc., and the united States Postal Service to create a ONE DAY challenge: create innovative direct mail marketing solutions for two community organizations, Penn’s Northeast Inc. and Visit Luzerne County (The Luzerne County Visitors Bureau). The event featured presentations from our community organizations identifying the market needs that they have for a particular objective of their organization. Over 30 students were paired into teams in conjunction with creative agency leaders to develop a direct mail solution to meet the needs and objectives of the community organizations. Students benefited by working alongside come of the best local community design leaders, were given the opportunity to build a powerful line item for their resume, and networked with all who attended!
